A Father's Prayer: the Provisional Prayer

What if someone you care about MIGHT be in trouble? What if MAYBE they have fallen out of favor with God? You can't be sure, but you think that there is a CHANCE that somebody needs something from God. You can offer "The Provisional Prayer". To learn more about this, listen to this message delivered on Fathers Day, June 17, 2012, to the people of the First Baptist Church in Newburgh, New York, by their Pastor, the Rev. Dr. Dennis Ashley.

  1. Another good message Pastor: It is always reassuring to know or, at least be reminded that one is praying for another "just in case". I am immediately reminded of a chorus sung that states, "Somebody prayed for me/They had me on their mind/They sacrificed their time/They got down on their knees and prayed for me/They had no doubt/That God would bring me out/They fell down on their knees and prayed for me." Besides that, I will never forget the impact created in my heart as I walked in on my mother and heard her petitions before God on my behalf. Having and sensing the love and prayers of a parent are powerful!
